Introduction

The Tag and Word Cloud Generator plugin allows you to create dynamic and visually engaging word clouds directly inside your Bubble app. Built using the Jason Davies word cloud script, it provides powerful customization options for data visualization and interactive content display.

The plugin also includes a second element (V2) powered by the Vega library, offering a more modern, responsive rendering engine for smoother adaptability across layouts and devices.

This plugin is ideal for visualizing tags, keywords, categories, survey responses, search terms, and other text-based datasets

Fields:

Title	Description	Type
	ℹ️ “App Font” is not supported. Please select a specific font from the font dropdown instead of using “App Font”.
	The data source can be either a long text OR a list of words with corresponding numbers (both in CSV format).
Text	A long text string from which the plugin will automatically extract and count words to generate the cloud.	Text (optional)
Number of words	Applies only when using the Text field. Set how many of the most frequent words to display. Leave empty or set to 0 to display all detected words.	Number (optional)

List of words CSV	A comma-separated list of words. Must have the same number of items as the “List of numbers CSV” field.	Text (optional)
List of numbers CSV	A comma-separated list of numbers corresponding to each word. Each number represents the frequency (weight) of the word. Higher numbers make the word appear larger. Must match the length of the words list.	Text (optional)

Case	Controls the letter case of displayed words. Options: upper, lower, mixed.	Dropdown
Lower Angle	Minimum rotation angle (in degrees) applied to words. Set all angle fields to the same value to force a single orientation.	Number
Middle Angle	Middle rotation angle (in degrees). Set to 0 for no rotation.	Number
Higher Angle	Maximum rotation angle (in degrees). Set all angle fields equal to use a single fixed angle.	Number
Font Weight Min	Minimum font weight applied to words with the lowest frequency.	Number
Font Weight Max	Maximum font weight applied to words with the highest frequency.	Number
Increase Weight if count greater than	If a word’s frequency exceeds this value, its font weight will be increased.	Number
CSV Color list	Comma-separated list of HEX colors (e.g., #d5a928,#652c90,#939597). Colors are applied randomly or sequentially to words.	Text
Words size min	Minimum font size (in pixels) for the smallest words.	Number
Words size max	Maximum font size (in pixels) for the largest words.	Number
Words padding	Space between words in pixels. Higher values increase spacing.	Number
Stop words	Words to exclude from the cloud. Use this format: word1	Text

Title	Description	Type
Clicked Word	The word that was clicked by the user inside the word cloud. This value can be used to trigger workflows or filter data dynamically.	Text
Clicked Word Count	The frequency (weight) value associated with the clicked word. This represents how many times the word appears or the numeric value assigned to it.	Number
Base64 PNG	A Base64-encoded PNG image of the generated word cloud. This can be used to display, download, or store the image.	Image
