Introduction

The Mobile Camera Input plugin allows your mobile Bubble app to open the device’s native camera to capture photos or videos and upload them directly. Users can choose between the front (selfie) and rear camera if supported, and you can specify whether the camera opens in photo or video mode.

Note: Behavior may vary across devices. Some devices might not support front/rear camera selection. This plugin is intended for mobile phones only.

Title	Description	Type
Max Size	Defines the maximum allowed file size (in MB) for the captured photo or video. If the file exceeds this limit, the File Too Large event is triggered and the upload is blocked.	Number
File Uploader Enabled	Enables or disables uploading the captured photo or video to Bubble’s storage. When disabled, the camera can still capture media, but it will not be uploaded.	Checkbox (yes/no)
Camera Location	Select which camera to open: Front (Selfie) or Rear. Some devices may not support switching. Available options: Front (Selfie), Rear.	Dropdown
Record Type	Choose whether the camera opens in Photo mode, Video mode, or lets the user choose. Available options: Photo, Video, User Choice.	Dropdown
Filename	Set the filename for the captured photo or video. To specify an image extension, include it in the name (e.g., `test.png`).	Text

File Size	The size of the captured photo or video in bytes.	Number

Title	Description
Photo Taken	Triggered immediately after a photo is captured using the camera.
Video Taken	Triggered immediately after a video is captured using the camera.
Photo or Video Taken	Triggered after either a photo or video has been captured.
Upload Started	Triggered when the captured photo or video begins uploading to Bubble’s storage.
Upload Finished	Triggered when the captured photo or video has finished uploading to Bubble’s storage and is available as a file URL.
File Too Large	Triggered when the captured photo or video exceeds the allowed file size limit and cannot be uploaded.
